I wrote this visualization of the rubiks cube. Attached below is the package, which depends on Python, Numpy Visual. They are available on various platforms; OSX, Win, Linux etc but I don't have time to hunt down links for all the platforms ATM. Check the sites or use google. An interactive solver will follow.
